The Summer Holidays have ended, the park will be quieter, and so now is a good time for the park to do what is sadly necessary: Adventure Land was yesterday closed...

...to make way for 2011's exciting new addition to the park, Project Atlantis! <- Be sure to read that news article for full details on the awesome new SEA LIFE experience making its way to LEGOLAND Windsor next year!

So, what exactly has closed? Well, the Jungle Coaster has already gone, sadly (though it is to be relocated to LEGOLAND's new park in Florida!). Dino Dipper has also closed, and will be dismantled shortly as it lies at the heart of Project Atlantis' new footprint. It is to be relocated elsewhere in the park - rumour has it to the Enchanted Forest. Finally, Dino Safari has also closed, though it is expected to re-open next year when building works have completed.

The Wave Surfer remains open - perhaps we can temporarily return to thinking of it as being part of My Town sorry, LEGO City ;).

Project Atlantis is truly starting, things are about to get exciting... as always, Completely LEGOLAND Windsor will be keeping abreast of developments, and reporting them right here!

I was thinking that surely wave surfer fits in perfectly with the Atlantis theme? If they could find a way to link the two rides together (maybe a filler ride/shop), then it could work rather well.

first of all i dont get why legoland didnt just move the jungle coaster from one area to another with a new theme, and iam kind of sad adventure land isno more, but it will be very intresting to see where dino dipper will go.

Atlantis will be great, and so will the hotel, but it's a shame to see Jungle Coaster go. Hopefully another, better rollercoaster will replace it soon.
Wave Surfer would fit in well with Atlantis, and if the park management are sane, they'll deco it like the California version, which is Aquazone themed. Still, would be nice to keep the Adventurers rides the way they are.
If Dino Dipper is moved onto the Enchanted Forest, I will be VERY peed. I love that place, so well done and atmospheric - all it needs is a little maintenance, and a lot of people still go in there.

shame about the jungle coaster, realy is but it just has not been the same in the past 2 to 3 years. Plus i recon the dino dipper what look good in the enchanted forest, though i do like that place too, or better still the knights kingdom. just replace the dinosour model bird with a dragon or somthing.

Also does anyone have any idea at all whats going to happen to DINO SFARI. I never went on it, iam just curious about what it will become without the dipper and jungle coaster

The dino dipper will be rethemed and will be part of Knights Kingdom. It will be called Knights Quest I think as its former space will be occupied by the new Atlantis projct (summer 2011).
The Lego hotel will be built in the former Jungle Coaster location and hopefully in the future, Legoland Windsor will get the long awaited Power Builder, currently at all other Legoland Parks.

Without the jungle coaster Adventure land is not half the area it used to be imo .

I hope they retheme the dino dipper well in Knights kingdom and within the next few years add another coaster in the park.
